Experience Summary
I have been a professional progammer for over twenty years and mentored many junior programmers. I have been on large and small teams working on both very huge and quite small projects. I primarily work in the computer gaming industry at all levels.
I have hired many programmers and thankfully released very few. I have learned what is desirable in a professional programmer and how to succeed in this industry.
Teaching Style
I'm not going to tell you how to do things, I'm going to lead you to the right answer with key questions and insights you may have missed.
If you want to program for a living I can teach that, if you want to get familiar with coding for specific school requirements or project needs I can do that too, I listen to my students and adjust.
If you are looking for dry and boring I'm not your guy, I prefer to keep things fun.
My Hobbies
R/C Cars and aircraft, programming (yes, as a hobby), Bridge, Chess and most strategy games.
Other Comments
There aren't enough good programmers in the world, too often I have to help a new one with things he/she should have learned in school.
