Experience Summary
I am a recent summa cum laude graduate from St. Catherine University in Saint Paul MN, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Studio Arts. I am currently finishing a year long fellowship at the Marchutz School of Fine Arts in the South of France where I have participated in the immersive painting and drawing program in addition to providing guidance and assistance to students. In my spare time I also tutor English and French as a second language to children ages 5-10.
Being extensively involved in the learning process of so many students throughout the past year has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my education and I look forward to continuing the work!
Subjects I tutor include: French, French Literature, Grammar, Editing, Writing, Creative Writing, Proofreading, college applications
Teaching Style
I believe strongly in Experiential learning and alternative approaches to education that involve active participation from the student. I appreciate Heidegger's view on education as he states: "Teaching is more difficult than learning because what teaching calls for is this: to let learn... The real teacher, in fact, lets nothing else be learned than — learning."
My Hobbies
Painting and Drawing, Photography, Reading Literature and poetry, Running, Hiking, Traveling, Dancing
