Experience Summary
I have spent the first 17 years of my life living back and forth between Hokkaido, Japan and Edgerton, WI. I would attend the whole school year in America, then immediately fly to Japan to start school there for the summer. I have done this from preschool all the way to 9th grade. Because of this, I have a complete understanding of the Language, History and Culture of Japan. I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, triple majoring in East Asian studies, International studies and History with a certificate in Japanese. I have taken courses on Japanese language, culture, politics and anthropology. I have also worked this entire school year as an online Japanese tutor for high school students at Madison East High School. I have experience working with both students who have just started learning Japanese, as well as ones who have been learning for years.
