Experience Summary
I am Brazilian and I have recently move to Charlotte in NC. I graduated from High School in Brazil and now I'm going to a community college in South Carolina. My experience in teaching portuguese comes from lessons that I would give to friends of mine in exchange of other language lessons. I have also took a lot of different languages lessons, I can speak Italian and French besides Portuguese and English, and this helps me to understand the problems a student may have while learning a new language.
Teaching Style
I'm willing to teach however you want to learn. If you are preparing for an certification exam, or any kind of test, we will focus on grammar. If you want to be able to communicate in portuguese, we will focus on conversation. If you are traveling to a country that speaks Portuguese, I can help you to learn basic things you should know. I believe that the best way of learning a language, and this comes from my experience in learning English, French and Italian is by practicing it, being exposed to the language. This way, in our classes I'll try to speak portuguese the most that I can and give you tools that will help you to constantly be in contact with the language.
