Experience Summary
I previously worked as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher for Duval County Public Schools for over nine years, and taught children from K-5 grade level (including ESE and high-risk learners). I currently run a part-time business tutoring primary students, and volunteer my service to assist kindergarten students with variable learning abilities at Westview K-8 public school on the Westside of Jacksonville, Florida.
Teaching Style
My educational philosophy derives from the Montessori method "which" means that students will have the freedom to explore with creative hands-on materials that will foster their unique learning style. To ensure that your child receives the best quality of education to become productive in a classroom setting, I will establish a lesson plan that will be differentiated, and utilize academic resources that corresponds to the Common Core State Standards. As a professional educator, my ultimate goal is to render my compassion and guidance to create a "community of independent learners".
