Experience Summary
I have taught grades 3 and six as part of my internship in Messina, New York. I tutored third grade children in remedial reading as a private business. After raising my own children and working in industry I returned to teaching. I taught ESL to adults in Boston, MA and as part of Literacy,Inc in Escondido, CA. I have tutored third grade students in reading as part of Oasis Program. I currently home school a third grade boy in all subjects. My students have enjoyed my classes and found learning can boost their confidence.
Teaching Style
I believe a strong emphasis on spelling, grammar and comprehension is key to future learning. I approach these subjects from different angles so that it does stay interesting. I believe in bolstering self confidence and yet encourage students to put effort into their lessons.
My Hobbies
Outside of teaching I am an artist. I also write poetry and I am a history buff.

I am interested in helping anyone who wants to learn a working English comprehension as their second language. I have taught adults who are just starting to learn speaking and reading English at a basic level.
