Experience Summary
In the field of Social Studies: I have studied University of Connecticut at Stamford and Central Connecticut State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts where I majored in History with a minor in Geography. After my under graduate studies were complete, I attended University of Bridgeport where I earned a Master of Science degree in Education, My post graduate studies at University of Bridgeport also included a 1 year Student Intern Teaching position, within the Stamford (CT) Public Schools. Where I taught both Middle school and high school students. The subjects I covered were Social Studies, and Earth Science. I also served as the Executive Director for a non-profit called Teen Life Center, where I taught Leadership skills and provided actually experience for High School Teens, In operating a Disc Jokey Business and Video Business. For the Past 16 years I have owned my own Graphic Design Business.
Teaching Style
While I was teaching, I would conduct a lectures, but I would prefer, to engage the students in discussion. Which would allow them to explore the subject that was being taught. This was typically accomplished in brain storming session, role playing, and in individual research project that would be shared with the class.
My Hobbies
Reading, where I continue to enhance my knowledge base in History. I also Serve on the Board of Directors for the Stamford Historical Society.
I am also a softball player and coach Little League Baseball.
