Experience Summary
I graduated from Washington High in 2006 with my High School Diploma. From there I went to Worwic Community College part time while working full time to pursue an Associates of the Arts in General Studies. This degree was completed in 2010. After that I moved on to Salisbury University to pursue a Bachelor's Degree with a dual major in History and Psychology with Minors in Philosophy and Women's Studies. After one year of study I found myself suffering financially so I returned to Worwic Community College to pursue an Associates of Applied Science in Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Management with a specialization in Hotel Management because Ocean City is a predominantly tourist based town. After that I attended the Culinary Program at Worwic Community College and graduated with my third Associates Degree in just over a years time.
But I could spout my accomplishments to you all day, what really makes me a good tutor is my passion for learning. The reason I have so many degrees is I believe everyone should make it their life time goal to never stop learning. Knowledge is power. That is a passion I hope I can pass on to whoever I'm tutoring.
Teaching Style
I believe we can only help those who wish to help themselves. My teaching style is pretty straight forward - to make the child/teenager want to learn. Make the subject matter interesting to them and approach it from their perspective. If you motivate them to make the effort the rest will happen naturally.
My Hobbies
Reading, Writing, Watching TV, Netflix, Gaming, Scrapbooking.
