Experience Summary
I hold a BA in Economics and a BS in Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin, and I have a deeply rooted passion for tutoring and teaching! I have worked in a multitude of environments and titles, including, but not limited to: a tennis teaching pro; financial consultant and paralegal; hedge fund financial marketing analyst; and now a CEO of my own fitness tracking startup. I have a wide range of skill sets in data analytics, which include statistics, marketing, and (my personal favourite) econometrics.
I also hold an International Baccalaureate Diploma from my high school back in Plano, TX. I have been a teaching assistant and supplemental instructor for a range of courses as well: the sociology of development; development economics; urban economics; and, architectural history origins to 1750. I will be going to graduate school for a PhD in Applied Economics in the fall, and I would love another chance to help out my fellow Austinites before I leave!
Teaching Style
My preferred teaching methods are constructed in such a way as to optimise the student's time:
1) I like to receive a list of the specific trouble/problem areas of the student within the course ahead of time
2) I will then prepare a series of notes for these problem areas ahead of time
3) I will walk through these notes with the student as well as have practice problems ready to go through in detail
4) Lastly, the student will be given the notes to keep as a reference of their time with me
This method has proven to be the greatest success throughout the years, and I only wish to make sure that I am of greatest value to the student.

| I have taken 3 years of university study in Russian language, and I also lived abroad in Russia for a year as a researcher (where I lived with a host family). I am professionally proficient in Russian, and most would even say that I am fluent, in non-graduate academic settings. I read, write and speak in Russian everyday, and I even maintain penpal relations with students in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, and Ufa. |
