Experience Summary
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. My major was English Literature, with a double minor in French Language and Communications. I am also a certified composition peer tutor, assisting students in Composition I, Composition II, and graduate level papers. I have also written procedural instructions for positions. I have worked in the automotive and mortgage industries.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very holistic. I want to empower students to discover and employ their voices. I want to develop critical thinking skills, analysis, synthesis, and retention, basically, I want to help people *THINK* about what they are saying, what they are doing, to interpret the world around them. In the end, it is the student's choice whether or not they modify their papers. I believe in having a one on one discussion. I am resourceful. I don't know all the answers but I have a myriad of ways to find them.
My Hobbies
I write fiction and am seeking traditional publication for a series of novels. I also do photography. I read a lot, preferring the classics, not just because others have testified they are the best but to incorporate these works in my mental arsenal. I also love foreign languages and cultures. I would learn all languages if I could. I have many years of French, some Spanish, German, and Arabic. I also seek out friends from other countries; I can say "Good morning" in Polish, Czech, and Gaelic.
