Experience Summary
Greetings. My name is Michael B. I am a certified teacher of English as a Second Language. I am very good at teaching grammar, reading, writing, speaking English correctly and literature. I can prepare anyone for TOEFL. I am quite proficient in teaching both British and American English. I am also very good at instructing English for Academic Purposes (EAP) as well as English for Special Purposes (ESP). I am very proficient in instructing conversational English as well. I taught 9 foreign students who were English Language learners. I created and implemented reading, writing and speaking lesson plans. I mentored a student and implemented strategies to improve grammar, reading, writing skills and vocabulary. I also taught 12 Chinese English Language Learners, identified phonological differences between their native language (Mandarin) and English, and practiced saying challenging sounds. I am quite familiar with the proper English pronunciation including the correct phonetic transcription of words.
I am looking for students who are interested in brushing up their grammar, reading, writing skills as well as those who need help in better understanding of English and American literature. I am also looking for foreign students who need help with learning English as a second language, and those who need help preparing for TOEFL and planning to enroll at college or university. I can also help those who need to work on their pronunciation. I am good at helping those who are in need of better understanding and using Business English. I can also help you with building the necessary vocabulary that is used at the undergraduate as well as the graduate levels in universities. The English Grammar is my forte, and I shall be very happy to help those students who really need help with grammar in writing as well as in correctly speaking.
I really would like to share my knowledge, experience and expertise with those who are in need of perfecting their English reading, writing and speaking skills. I welcome students of all ages, and I shall be available to help them in either perfecting their pronunciation or preparing them for enrollment at either college or university.
