Experience Summary
Living and studying for half of my life in Middle East and the other half in the U.S. have equipped me with the necessary effective tools to fully understand cultures, languages, traditions and history of both worlds. My passion of transferring knowledge to others via teaching is a lifelong endeavor that I closely hold and continuously refine.
My Arabic language skills and cultural knowledge have proven to be among the best promoting me to be the primary linguist and cultural advisor to the U.S. Ambassadors in Baghdad, Iraq for years. My B.S. in Computer Science from University of Washington and Master’s in IT from AIU along with years of translating/interpreting for the Arab community in Puget Sound have helped tremendously in shaping my educational skillset. Furthermore, prior to serving U.S. Diplomatic Mission overseas I took Modern Arabic Training Class and passed The State Department rigorous Language Test.
Teaching Style
I consider each student is a project for success. No matter how difficult for a student to learn another language or a culture, my techniques will ensure best possible outcome leading to learners’ full satisfaction. I make sure every student in my class is comfortable with materials presented before moving on to the next level. Periodic evaluation, assessment reports, frequent exams and continuous follow up will ensure all students are up at the level where they should be.
My schedule is flexible and students can receive education from the comfort of their homes, or in an agreed upon location. I believe in an open-door policy, thus you’re encouraged to share any thought or a topic you might be interested in learning. I’ll do my best to work with you so you can achieve your goals.
I look forward to hearing from you to help you accomplish your objectives.
My Hobbies
Swimming, tennis, soccer, running, reading, writing and spending quality time with my family; especially my three lovely kids.
