Experience Summary
I received a degree in Jazz Performance from The Ohio State University. While there, I auditioned into the top Jazz Ensemble for four years in a row. I excelled to the top of the program, while participating in different ensembles such as the JECO Intercollegiate band for four years. This band consisted of the best players in the state of Ohio. I also had the opportunity to frequently play with the great Vaughn Wiester. From his big band and the university's, I had the opportunity to play with Jazz legends throughout the country. I have also had the opportunity to travel to China for a ten day tour with the OSU Jazz Ensemble, where we had the chance to play for five different cities.
Towards the end of my college career, I engineered and recorded two CDs. One with my own group, Collective Reaction, and one with the great jazz vocalist, Liz Woolley. Both of these CDs were professionally produced, mastered and independently released. After finishing my degree, I returned to the Chicagoland area where I currently work as a freelance musician around the area.
