Experience Summary
With a BA in English from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China and a Master's degree in MIS (Management Information Systems) from University of Texas in Dallas, Texas, I was a college English instructor in Nanjing, China for 3.5 years and an IT Analyst with AT&T for 12 years. I am a native Mandarin speaker, speaking excellent standard Mandarin with no accent and my spoken English is close to native English speaker. I was a Chinese instructor at North Shore Community College in MA, and a substitute teacher at Wellesley public school in MA. Even though I started my private tutoring last September, I received high recognition from my students, which is reflected from the awesome lesson ratings and excellent testimonials from my students. I taught Chinese to students from 7-year-old kids, high school students, college students to business professionals in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. I tutored Chinese to students with curriculum tailored to their individual language levels, specific needs and learning styles. After graduation I had worked as an English Instructor teaching English to freshmen and sophomores majoring in Science at Southeast University in Nanjing, China for three years and half before I moved to the United States. I worked as an interpreter for two International Conferences held at Southeast University. In the United States I had worked as an IT professional for over 14 years after I received my Master's degree in MIS from University of Texas at Dallas, Texas. My business-professional students told me that my business background had helped them in their communications with their Chinese business partners and Chinese people. I have a great personality.
