Experience Summary
I learned Russian at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey,CA, during my service in the Marine Corps. This school is regionally accredited and is considered one on the best schools in the U.S. to learn a foreign language. After I graduated I spent the rest of my enlistment as a cryptologic linguist in the operating forces. I had to re-certify annually, by taking the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) for Russian. I attended many follow on courses for Russian and still have all of my materials from DLI and those course.
