Experience Summary
My passion for music education was birthed through a childhood of great music exposure and music teachers. As a college graduate in Music Education, I sought to follow this passion for music and shared it with the hundreds of young lives I would teach. I have spent 6 years of my education experience in the Elementary Music Classroom as a General Music Teacher, and a private woodwind/piano instructor. I thrive in watching my students come to me with no instrumental knowledge, and then develop in front of my eyes into passionate musicians enjoying the music they create.
I specialize in teaching private and/or group instruction in clarinet, saxophone, piano and general music at any age! I thoroughly enjoy and accept beginning-intermediate students in all areas, and will also take advanced students in clarinet instruction. For students enrolled in a band program, this is an excellent way to excel in your class and even surpass your peers. Piano students will experience a brand new innovative approach to piano instruction. I will tailor make your lesson for your needs, our very first lesson will be to map out your goals so we may effectively move forward with your progress! Let's Get Started!
As an educator with experience I value the quality of education I present, so there will be times that I ask for your feedback. If you are unsatisfied with lessons given, I am more than happy to discuss this with you and make the necessary changes.
I strive to be flexible with time and scheduling arrangements, however I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
Lessons will take place at your choice of location (home/office), however if you are a student in school enrolled in a band program, I do hold a TN Teaching license and have completed a Background check with the Nashville School System, so I am willing to travel to your school and provide your private lesson during your band class, provided we discuss this with your band instructor first.

Teaching Style
I have no preference, I thoroughly enjoy the one on one experience and watching my individual students grow right before my eyes. However, I also enjoy working with groups of students at a time, no more than 3-4 students in a small group. I thrive in the master class setting of instruction as well, so I am completely open to all types of instruction, as long as my listener is growing.

| With a BA degree in Music education I recently worked for 3 years at a local Piano Academy prior to my move to Nashville, TN. While teaching at the academy I was able to teach piano students of all ages, and really learn to tailor a lesson to the student. I also have 2 years of experience providing private piano instruction using various piano curricular apart from an academy. |

| I have spent a total of 14 years of my life (exactly half of my life) on the Woodwind Instruments, Clarinet Primarily. I currently hold a Music Education degree with an instrumental focus on Clarinet. I studied under Christopher G. for 5 years who recently began playing with the NY Philharmonic. I have performed in various musicals, cantatas, Wind Ensembles, and Bands and have provided numerous private lessons on the clarinet as well! I love the Clarinet! |
