Experience Summary
I have two years of experience working in public schools with children across a wide spectrum of ability. My role as school psychologist intern has prepared me to work individually with children in both regular and special education settings. I have also spent the past two years working with undergraduate college students at Tufts University to help them better their time management and study strategies. Working with students to assess barriers to learning and helping them overcome those obstacles is my passion.
Teaching Style
I take a brief, solution-focused, strengths-based approach to working with children. I believe that there is much more to be gained from positivity, mutual understanding, and compassion than from mere drilling exercises or behavioral principle. I also believe that building a constructive and meaningful relationship with each individual student is crucial to the success of any tutoring program.
