Experience Summary
I have been a high school Spanish teacher for the past two and a half years here in Florida. Before that I taught English as a Foreign language to adolescents and adults at a language school in Mexico and I tutored children at an orphanage as well. I have substitute taught for two years in Ohio and I have tutored Spanish and English as well in Ohio. I have attended University for a year in Mexico studying Spanish during my undergraduate studies. I studied teaching English as a Second Language at the graduate level in Ohio for two semesters and it really improved my understanding of how to teach English by only using the target language.
Teaching Style
I have many materials and techniques to teach Spanish or English in an engaging style that works! I love vocabulary, grammar and games! I really believe that increasing student speaking time over teacher speaking time is the key when learning a new language. I will help my students learn Spanish or English through reading, writing, listening and speaking exercises. Visuals when learning vocabulary and repeating the new words in the target language is required for the information to become part of your long term vocabulary not to mention you will feel more comfortable speaking and understanding.
My Hobbies
I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, going to the beach, walking, drawing and painting.

I am a dedicated teacher and I would love to help students learn a language that they will benefit from for the rest of their life whether they use it for school, work, communication or travel! I have a very flexible schedule.
