Experience Summary
I currently work at an Elementary School in Andover, KS as a special education paraeducator. I assist in grades Kindergarten - 2nd. I have an elementary teaching degree from Wichita State University. I student taught in 5th grade and 1st grade for Wichita Public Schools. I have worked as a substitute teacher in Andover, KS, and I also worked as a paraeducator for an elementary school in Wichita, KS for several years. I was a teacher assistant in a child development center in Wichita, and I volunteered in a nursery for 3 years. Lastly, I once mentored middle school students for 3 years as a volunteer.
Teaching Style
My teaching style alters with the needs of the students I am working with. Students learn through a variety of ways, and it is important to teach to how they best learn. I believe the effort I put in will affect the amount of learning that results. I work to positively encourage students and try to combine the teaching material with their interests.
My Hobbies
I am an active member at my church and I participate in the young adult group. I enjoy cooking, reading, exercising, and spending time with the people who are important in my life.
