Experience Summary
I have been working with children of assorted ages for eleven years. This includes: 3 year old pre-school, Kindergarten and 1st grade tutoring, 2nd grade- 4th grade summer day camp and summer school, 5th and 6th grade classroom teacher, 6th grade personal tutor, middle school and high school youth group volunteer, volunteer assistant with St. Josephs institute for the Deaf in Lenexa, middle school paraprofessional for students with high functioning autism spectrum disorders, and most recently a middle school resource paraprofessional.
Teaching Style
I have exceptional communication skills. Especially in regards to building strong lasting relationships with parents. In addition, I am passionate about helping students to find their niche. This includes; building personal study habits, learning how to intrinsically motive themselves, discovering value in themselves and others, and using their strengths to help supplement for their struggles. I am structured and consistent.
