Experience Summary
Taught different levels of Russian in the university and in language schools in the USA. Currently work for the Russian Flagship Center which provides intensive language training to university students with the goal of reaching the Superior level of language proficiency. Tutor Russian Flagship students of different language levels in grammar, writing, speaking, listening and reading. Design lesson plans which target specific language needs of each individual student. Prepare Flagship students for the International Russian Flagship program. Successfully use Skype for individual tutoring sessions. Conduct Oral Proficiency Interviews for ACTFL (American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages).
Teaching Style
Class setting: although I largely utilize a communicative approach, I also make sure that students receive comprehensive practice in grammar, listening, reading, writing.
Individual tutoring: method and style depend on the student's learning goal.
