Experience Summary
Russian tutoring has been my part-time job for the last couple of years. I have written a lot of articles about fun and confusing things in the Russian languages and also about how to learn a language (Dos and don'ts) and received hundreds of warm thanks for them from my students.
I have been analyzing Russian conversational speech for months and realized that to master it is not hard at all! That is the reason I started giving lessons guided by new principles, the gist of which is ‘Not To Overcomplicate’.
Teaching Style
Let me introduce 4 reasons why I am sure that we will succeed with our Russian lessons.
1. We will start with conversational Russian. Conversational speech is what you will need most when practicing. Besides, conversational speech is the only thing which you can never master on your own, unlike reading, writing, comprehension and grammar.
2. We will learn what you will really be using in real life situations.
3. We’ll not let Grammar kill us!
4. We can conduct lessons in a bilingual way. I will always be able to translate phrases and sentences for you or even to be your ‘built-in’ translator – at first in Russian and then the same bits in English.
My Hobbies
Learning and teaching languages, drawing animals and winter theme, running a travel blog.
Other Comments
I’m Olga and I am 29 years old. I was born in a very small town in Russia, but for you it will be easier to remember that I am from Moscow. Which is half-true, because that is the last Russian city I used to live in.
‘The last’ because in September 2013 my husband and I moved to Thailand. Here we eat cheap mango and ride a bike. And I learnt how to swim last year!
