Experience Summary
I have over 5 years of teaching experience.
I was a graduate teaching assistant at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of South Florida, where I worked in the USF Smart Lab, helping with student coursework in undergraduate level mathematics courses. I also led Help Discussion sections for STA2023 (an introductory statistics course).
I was an undergraduate teaching assistant at the Department of Statistics, University of Florida, 2011-2012, where I led lab discussion sections for another introductory statistics course for up to 80 students at a time.
I was an undergraduate teaching assistant at the Department of Chemistry, University of Florida, 2008-2011, where I taught chemistry in an introductory chemistry course, guided students through group activities during lecture, and gave lecture-style exam reviews to 100-200 students at a time. I also obtained the lead teaching position in 2010 and began guiding other teaching assistants.
Teaching Style
I believe that each student learns in a unique way, and therefore I teach in a way that is adaptable to a variety of students and learning styles.
I also am very outgoing and have a friendly personality, and I make teaching much more fun than what can be obtained through a textbook alone!
My Hobbies
Statistics! Mathematics! Chemistry! School! And teaching of course!
I also enjoy running, golfing, going out to the movies, hanging out with friends, and tutoring students both individually and in groups.
My dream is to become a professor after obtaining a PhD.
