About Me

Experience Summary

Education: Montclair State University BA - Art History BA - General Humanities Minor - Art History Other - Sigma Alpha Lambda Honors Society I am a museum educator and professional writer. Museum Education: I began volunteering with a local museum in the fourth grade and have continued ever since. I have always preferred working in living history museums as opposed to the big, dusty museums with everything behind glass beside little plaques that are too wordy even for industry professionals to find interesting. I've had many wonderful experiences portraying real individuals as well as no-name individuals from the Revolutionary War all the way up through the first half of the 20th century. Real, tangible history is what I always aim for - I can cook on a wood burning stove and know the basics of pre-industrialized farming, just to name a few things. Writing: I have always written, either for my own pleasure or professionally, almost since I learned how to write. I was a freelance author for several years during and after college, as well as a writer of fiction. My freelance work has included writing hundreds of informative articles, biographies, product descriptions, and top-10 type lists. During my freelancing career, I worked extensively with the video gaming industry. I have written previews and reviews of many types of games from indie and big name publishers. One of my favorite projects to date was story boarding and editing the script for an indie RPG title. Fiction writing has always been a love of mine. I have been published twice professionally, once for poetry and once in a short fiction horror anthology. Other: Other projects I have undertaken is the coordination of a local benefit concert in my home town. Between 2006-2009 I have been coordinator and co-coordinator of an annual concert preformed by local singers. All participants were students who's ages ranged from elementary through college. I was also the assistant coordinator of the Alumni Concert at my local high school in 2010.
