Experience Summary
At present, I work for the CCSD. I am certified for K-12 in Math. I have produced hundreds of Math students, who are doing very well today, in my country before coming to USA, as well as here in USA. I have a Masters in Linguistics and a BS in Math with another one year of Post Graduate studies in Japanese studies. I speak a few languages very comfortably. Languages were my hobby from the age of twelve, after I won the Junior and Open Latin prize awards in school. But my most favorite subject was Math from a very young age, hence, Math my major in College.
I have a lot of patience with my students, because I understand how much guidance nearly every student in USA needs. They lack the basics for some reason or other. There is nothing that one can’t achieve since any kid is as smart as any other kid from any other part of the world. But they lag behind in math, for some unfortunate reason, which should be changed without any further delay. We should change the attitude of most of the students towards mathematics. Once you lose the basics in the subject, you can’t proceed. Some just hate math, because they have not been exposed to its beauty. It is very unfortunate.
It is one of the most interesting subjects. After all, a sound background in Math is a must for any field of studies, be that music, biology, medicine or art. Math deals with everything in this world. Without mastering mathematical concepts, you have to struggle solving most of day to day problems. Math is an international language, just like Music or any other world languages.
Math goes hand in hand with languages and music, not to speak of art. I believe most of you have been exposed to literature dealing with the relationships between the above mentioned areas, though they may appear not to have any relationship.
As a person, who has a given a lot of time to the first three areas, I believe I can help most of the students in USA, to excel in Math or languages. I request you to get the best out of me. Thank you.
