Experience Summary
My name is Ivan and I hold B.S. in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Barry University where I worked for 2 years as a Graduate/Teaching Assistant at the Barry University Psychology Department. I am well grounded in different school of thoughts in Psychology and this is reflected in my high GPA scores and opportunities given by my professors. After obtaining my Masters Diploma I worked for Youth Co Op (government funded agency) as an English Tutor and Career Adviser for refugee adolescence for about six months. Since January 2013, I have been working as a Project Manager/Study Coordinator for the research study at the University of Miami, Psychology Department at Coral Gables. My duties basically involve all aspects of this 5 year long study funded by National Institute of mental Health (NIMH). I am the therapist and manager for this study. The primary goal of this study is to treat PTSD symptoms caused by childhood sexual abuse. Also, I often teach a Health Psychology class for my supervisor Dr. Ironson, who is a renowned health psychologist in the country. I am currently holding this full time position but have some extra time that I would be pleased to spend teaching students and apply my extensive clinical and academic background in Psychology.
