Experience Summary
My teaching experience includes several semesters of substitute teaching, and tutoring locally for 2+ years as a part-time job, dirived from volunteering as a tutor for family members and friends. As a tutor, it is my job to help students with whatever it is they are struggling in and turn their struggles to successes. I specialize in working with those who want to become better readers - comprehension, fluence, vocabulary, phonics and spelling are all key to becoming a better reader.
Teaching Style
Patience is one word to describe my teaching style. My main objective is to work with students on goal-setting and then concentrate on how to meet those goals.
My Hobbies
In my free time, I love to read (fantasy and sci-fi are two of my fave genres). I am also an aspiring writer.
