Experience Summary
In January of 2012, I gained teaching experience as a part-time English instructor for Korean exchange students (ages ranging from 13 to 17 years old). My responsibility for this job was to provide the students with appropriate exercises and assignments to assist them in improving their English reading skills. I also gave lessons in vocabulary and assignments to help them better understand the proper usage of the vocabulary words. These assignments also served to teach the students about American culture and traditions.
In March of 2013, I received my MA in English from CSU, Bakersfield. I also published my first thesis.
From May of 2013 to September of 2013, I gained some experience working with children (ages ranging from 6 to 22) with Autism and like disorders as an instructional aide. My responsibility for this job was to provide direct one on one or group instruction for the students and provide the needed support to effectively teach functional, self-help, social, and communication skills. I also collected data of the student's work, behaviors, and improvements.
My Hobbies
Reading a good fantasy or science fiction novel, writing short stories, meeting new people, and going to the beach.
