Native Spanish speaker.
Studied English and Spanish in a bilingual school.
I taught Spanish in child care settings in 2003/2004. I tutored
ESL to high school students in 1991 and in 1993,did Spanish
homework tutoring in 1998 and in 2006/2007.
Proficient in Spanish/English.
Spanish CLEP score for college students in 2003: 98%
TOEFL score in 1999:240/300.
Teaching Style
Mainly one on one tutoring,visual materials are used as well
as books. I tutor children 6 to 11 years old. Written exercices
are used as well.
I mainly concentrate in Spanish/ESL homework tutoring. I tutor in
places,such as Starbucks bookstores and public libraries in the
North East side of San Antonio.
I help out students who are studying Grammar, Vocab.,studying
for tests and need translations in Spanish and English.
The Grammar verbs in Spanish that I tutor are:
the Present,Past,Future,Imperfect,Present and Past Progressives and
the Imperative). I don't tutor the Perfect tenses (Present Perfect,
Past Perfect,Future Perfect nor the Subjunctive).
I encourage students who are doing homework to learn all pronouns
with its verb conjugations,that is very important.
I also help with reading pronunciation.
Homework tutoring time is : 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours per session
to cover well the material and answer any questions the student
may have. I don't tutor French.

My Hobbies
Walking,reading,watching animals,shopping,bowling and skating.

My goal is to help students who are learning Spanish or English as a Second language.
I don't do homework,I do assist pupils with questions he or she may have and with some conversational exercises.
I do wish all students succeed in their foreign language studies.
