Educational Specialist - Lincoln Memorial - 2011
I have taught special needs students on the secondary level for the last 14 years. I have taught in a Comprehensive Developmental Classroom for the nine years, three in high school and the last six in middle school. The disabilities I have had the opportunity to focus on include Autism, ADD/ADHD, Functionally Delayed, Intellectually Disabled, Downs Syndrome, Emotionally Disturbed, and Learning Disabled (Math/Reading). I am highly qualified across all discipline areas from K-8 including Math, Reading/Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. I have been tutoring for the last two years in the evenings and have seen monumental gains with my students. I would love to have the opportunity to engage and challenge your child, while at the same time, build a positive relationship.
Teaching Style
I would consider myself a stern teacher who has always taken pride in classroom management and one who is results oriented. I feel I have the gift to reach all of my students on a personal level and the ability to gain their respect and build relevance to the process.
