Experience Summary
I have been tutoring since 2004 both privately and employed. I had worked at The Tutoring Center at St. Dominic's parish on Frankford Ave., in NE Phila. from 2004 until it closed in 2009. I have also tutored privately in the past and continue to do so. I have tutored students from preschool all the way up to college. I have helped students who were behind not only catch up to their current grade level but also stay current with their present material.
Teaching Style
The Key for me is to Make Learning as Fun & as Easy as you can! Bc the more a student likes what he/she is learning the more he/she will want to learn! And to do that, you have to Know your student - his/her learning process. I also make a point to ask my students what they like & then I use that to make my lessons Fun & Enjoyable rather than a Chore or something they don't want to do! I also Explore Why they find a particular topic hard and then I present that same topic / subject matter in Another way to make it easier for them to understand. I have a gift of being able to see (& explain) things a different way - so I use that in my lessons.
