Experience Summary
I am a current Honors Student at Eastern Kentucky University, studying both Spanish and the Visual Arts. I am in my seventh year of Spanish language and cultural studies, and have had many opportunities to improve my language skills through my courses of study, translating for Spanish-speakers, and immersing myself in the Hispanic community. In High School, I took AP Spanish and genuinely enjoyed it. Visual Art has always been my passion. In high school, I took courses such as Art 1, Painting, Ceramics/ Pottery 1 and 2, Independent study Ceramics/ Pottery, and Crafts. I am currently working towards an undergraduate degree in this field as well. As an Honors student, I have been pushed to improve my writing organizationally as well as stylistically, thus developing my vocabulary as well as spelling and grammatical skills. I am more than willing to proofread and aid in this area. I understand that grammar, writing, organization, and so on can be frustrating.
I am very personable and fun by nature. I have worked in education-based childcare, nanny-ed, aided others academically, and am all too empathetic to the struggles of academia.
Teaching Style
I like to personalize my teaching style in light of the student's strengths and learning style so as to work more effectively on their weaknesses. I enjoy a hands on, personal approach, and believe that learning can be fun.
My Hobbies
I enjoy painting, drawing, sculpting, comic books, literature, film, fashion, crafts, and spending time with those I care for.
