Experience Summary
I have taught in both the public and private school sectors. I have been teaching Special Education since 1999. I owned a learning center for children on the Autism spectrum as well as own my own tutoring business~Special Effects Tutoring. I provide tutoring, advocacy, and professional development in the Collin County area of Texas. I have participated in professional development and continue to work with children and families, along with support specialists, to provide a comprehensive and collaborative service.
Teaching Style
I believe in adapting my teaching style based on individual learning styles. I use a multi-sensory approach along with positive reinforcement. Each child I work with is unique and in order to be successful it is imperative to build a rapport with the child and the family.
My Hobbies
I love reading, gymnastics,and yoga!!

I have 2 boys in 7th and 3rd grade and they bring me great joy! I treat the children I work with as my own!
