Experience Summary
I'm a National Candidate Master and I've been teaching children and adults for 5 years. I have taught and coached a national championship winning team and have won numerous state and national championships myself. I teach lessons at Rittenhouse Square and at the Abington Free Library. I offer 1 hour and 2 hour weekly time slots throughout the week. During the time slot we'll go over things like tactics, positional theory, openings, endgames, middlegame technique, how to spot candidate moves, how to think critically and quickly etc. I'll also go over your own games with you which will allow me to assess where you're strongly suited in the game and where you have a gap in chess knowledge.
Teaching Style
Interactive teaching with review of progress, game-play, thought process training, calculation tricks using base positions, positional and tactical motifs, and mini-games in which specific abstract aspects of the game will be revealed to the student.
