Experience Summary
I am currently a teacher in the Mount Holly Township School District. Over the past two years I have taught fourth grade. This past year I was part of a co-teaching team in an inclusion classroom environment where I worked with a diverse group of students. Next year I will be teaching a first and second grader basic skills teacher for Language Arts. While studying in graduate school, I student taught in a third grade general education classroom. I also student taught in a self contained classroom for students who were Language and Learning Disabled.
Teaching Style
I am a very positive, high energy person and am constantly finding ways to positively reinforce good behavior as well as work ethic. I will always find ways to keep my students engaged in learning. I often try to imbed my students current interests into the material we are learning. I teach very hands on in an effort to offer students a variety of ways to develop an understanding for the content being presented. I will model and give various examples for students to help make personal/real life connections with the content they are learning. I also like to provide students with a lot of visuals to help provide connections with the content.
My Hobbies
I absolutely love being active and outdoors. I was a division I field hockey player for Rutger's University, New Brunswick so I enjoy playing field hockey. I love spending time with friends and family.
