Experience Summary
An experienced teacher K-12, teaching reading, vocabulary, grammar, study skills, comprehension, math and science at one of St.Louis' local districts who moved on to teach at St. Louis Community College yet remains devoted to personal learning and learning projects. One of those recent learning project was incorporation of technology and personal computers in the classroom.
Teaching Style
I believe in humor, fun, clear organization, and associated evaluation. I believe in preparing the student for life-long learning because learning is a pleasure, not a chore.
My Hobbies
astronomy, crafts, oil painting, sewing, cooking, photography and reading.
Other Comments
I became a teacher because I enjoy working with people. As a retired teacher, I cannot seem to stay retired; I'm still teaching. I admit moving at a slower pace, but I'm still FUNctional. This requires planning, organization, a knowledge of safety features and boundaries of behavior.
