Experience Summary
I have taught reading for the last 17 years to struggling readers in a public school. The students that I teach have shown improvement in reading and writing on the state achievement test for the last 10 years. I enjoy working with struggling readers because when they get it it is very rewarding to know that in some way I have helped them enjoy reading.
Teaching Style
I am a very patient with students, trying many different ways to try to get them to understand. If I need to use phonics or other word recognition strategies I will.

Reading, watching NCIS, writing a children's book
