Teaching Style
I am a certified teacher who derive so much solace and satisfaction in imparting knowledge to students. In addition to coming out in flying colors in their various examinations, my students are always pride among their peers. I strongly believe that a good tutor should be able to bring out the best in his/her students by creating an enabling environment for learning viz-a-viz:
Developing the interest of the students in the topics taught;
Citing relevant examples in order to make students retain in their brain, the salient points raised;
Using teaching aids to drive home the points raised;
Using tutor-student approach in teaching to give students the sense of belonging;
Welcoming questions from students for a better understanding of the topics taught;
Asking questions after every topic discussed to ascertain how well the students have learned;
Giving home-work in order to engage the students fully in the process of learning;
Assessing and evaluating the students from time to time to determine how much they have learned.
With all these methods there is no way the best would not be brought out of a seemingly dull student. As a seasoned and well experienced chemistry/biology tutor, I have made several professionals such as Medical doctors, Pharmacist, Microbiologists, Engineers, and even tutors among my students because of how easy I make these subjects.
My career goal in life is to build an impeccable reputation as a purposeful and result-oriented natural scientist, researcher and teacher. That is why I have put in an application to study PHD in Environmental Chemistry, come this fall.
