Experience Summary
My name is Lauren, and I am a 4th year elementary school teacher. I currently teach in a second grade Spanish Immersion class where I teach all second grade subjects nearly all in Spanish. I truly enjoy what I do and enjoy seeing the children grow and learn. While working in El Salvador, I have had experience teaching a second language to adults and children.
Teaching Style
Spanish Immersion is based on the immersion model where children are surrounded by the Spanish language. I communicated with them in Spanish and we read and write in Spanish as well. My style is students centered and differentiated with students getting what they need to succeed.
My Hobbies
I enjoy hiking and being outdoors. I also enjoy traveling and sharing my experiences with my students.
