Experience Summary
My experience is more from life than anything. I graduated from high school in 2011,and I chose to go from there to Argentina where I learned Spanish as a second language as well as studied the bible in a college setting in Spanish. I do not have my certification to translate or interpret however, I have been on a number of missions trips throughout Argentina, as well as in Peru during which I was the only form of translation, or interpretation. I have learned through experience in life. I was not taught In an American classroom, but in another country where I had to use what I learned every single day. I am currently enrolled in college and am in my second semester of my first year. Because I am a student I have the advantage of being able to relate to any students seeking help as well as offer studying tips or even understanding the difficulties one can face when trying to understand something new.
Teaching Style
The way I teach depends on the needs of the student. I personally learn by being show and then doing something while someone stands there to make sure I do it correctly until I can do it on my own. I can use visual strategies, repetition, games, songs, rhymes, whatever it takes to make sure I am clear and understood. I was always a slow learner when it came to certain subjects so I understand the frustration a child, or student can experience when a teacher is impatient or they just cant seem to get it right no matter what. Because of this, I am extremely patient and extremely kind in my teaching methods. I understand that everyone has different needs and different ways of learning. I am ready to meet those needs as they are.
My Hobbies
I have many things that I like to do. I have always loved to read and to write, especially poetry and music. I play piano and sing and I love to play sports. I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family and my fiance. I also like to crotchet.

| Reading is a skill which not everyone appreciates. For me reading has always been an important part of my life. I learned how to read at a very young age and my level of reading has always surpassed my peers throughout school. I understand that for many people reading is challenging not only mentally but physically. It requires self discipline and focus. I want to help teach others to read so that they might enjoy the freedom and enjoyment and satisfaction that comes from reading. |

| I am not a Spanish teacher, however I do know how to teach Spanish. I spent a year in Argentina not knowing a word of spanish. I went through a difficult program in which I was taught spanish as a second language and I shared a room with 5 other girls who only spoke spanish. I know how to memorize spanish I know how to study for a spanish test and I can explain the basics of spanish as well as the more complex aspects of spanish to anyone willing to learn. Not only do I know and understand the grammatical aspect of the language but I also understand the different cultures and accents of spanish in different South American countries. I would be happy to help teach or understand or even practice spanish with anyone who needs help and is willing to learn. |

| Although I am not especially trained to teach writing. I have been writing for a large portion of my life and I graduated high school taking all honors English classes. I have also taken College English and am currently enrolled in a college creative writing class at Stanly Community college. I have written many stories, poems and songs and writing just comes naturally to me. I would love to help anyone find joy in writing as well as success. |
