Experience Summary
I teach Microsoft applications 2007/2010 including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Project and all Windows platforms on a college level. I have over 15 year’s experience with Microsoft applications through my schooling and as a college professor. I have the skills and patience as a teacher to help students excel in all Microsoft applications. I have an excellent student retention and satisfaction rate in my classroom due to my patience and knowledge. I have an extensive IT background and owned my own IT Company for 10 years before I was bought out in 2010. I am currently obtaining my MS Office User Specialists certification. I have been teaching on a collegiate level for six years now and enjoy teaching students.
Learning a new application, whether it be MS Office or anything else, it can be incredibly intimidating. I compare it to learning a new language. A tutor/teacher must know how to convey their knowledge correctly in order for the students to comprehend. Knowing the subject matter well does not make you a good teacher. You must understand how to relay the information appropriately. My experience as a college professor allows me to not only know the information but know how to relay it appropriately. I have exercises and lessons that will promote rapid understanding of MS Office.
The importance of knowing MS Office is so apparent today. Almost all companies, regardless of what type they are, require some kind of computer knowledge. Mastering MS Office is not impossible with me as a tutor.
