Experience Summary
Hello! My name is Anne Brady and I am an artist and art educator. I studied Art at Point Loma Nazarene University and recently graduated with my BA in Art Education. I am currently finishing my graduate coursework to gain my California Teaching Credential in Art. I am currently a student teacher at a High School in a visual arts classroom. I love working with students of all ages. I am looking for opportunities to network and meet parents interested in private Art lessons, tutoring, classes, etc. My specialties are in Painting, Drawing, and Ceramics. However, I have experience in sculpture, collage, and other mediums as well.
I believe art education is vital to an individuals understanding and success in the world we live in. Creative learning enables a student to develop innovation, perception, flexibility, and imagination. I believe that knowledge and acceptance of diverse cultures, increased positive attitude of oneself and others, creative problem solving skills, and the ability of self-expression, are all developed in a well-balanced art curriculum. I also see great priority in creating a learning environment where students have space and feel supported in taking artistic risks, thinking outside of the box, and expressing themselves through new mediums. I value art for its ability to provide the unique shift from self-reflection to outward expression. I seek to give that opportunity to my students.
