Experience Summary
I have over 15 years' experience working with people and teaching different subjects as they related to my jobs. I have over 12 years' experience proofreading transcripts for court reporters. I was a training officer at the Madera County Jail where I trained new employees in working in the jail, but also report writing and testifying in court. I did my internship for college at the Juvenile District Attorney's Office and wrote and briefs for the court and prepared cases. I was a volunteer for the juvenile court system where I went out to homes and taught parents how to be parents and checked their homes to make sure the children were safe and cared for. I then wrote a report for the court on the progress of that family. I have always been the leader in any study group I have ever been in and have found myself teaching my fellow classmates the subject matter in several classes I've been in in order to help them pass.
Teaching Style
I am patient and have the ability to be creative and try different tactics when teaching if one is not working. I also have an interest in what I do and will research or somehow find answers if I am not able to come up with them on my own. I care very much about children and literacy in the United States. I also have experience with the Spanish language and can hold my own in a conversation.
My Hobbies
Reading and writing. Also crafts and playing anything with my son.
