Experience Summary
I have an associate's and a bachelor's degree in American Sign Language/ English interpretation issued by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I am currently working as an interpreter full time at a high school. I have worked for Arkansas school for the deaf. I have Ark credentials for interpreting (level 2/2). I have passed both the written portions of the Texas certification test for interpreting (BEI) and I have passed the written portion of the EIPA, the national certification test for educational interpreters. I will be taking my performance portion of the EIPA next month (Dec).
Teaching Style
I first need to know what stage the student is in his/ her learning and what he/she is working on in class. I have sign language books and videos. I will work with the student to make sure he/she is understanding and doing the signs correctly.
My Hobbies
Reading, writing, and watching movies.
