Experience Summary
I have been a certified teacher for 10 years. I have worked in preschools and substituted prior to returning to college for a teaching degree. I have worked with children since I was a child including those with disabilities both physical and learning. I have a son with a learning disability. I have worked with children with Autism. When substituting, I worked at all Elementary grade levels and all special classes (PE, Art, Music, Sped). The last 2 years I taught English as a second language to pre-k and kindergarten students in the Middle East.
Teaching Style
I am well organized and creative. I will take into account the interests of the child to make learning personalized and fun. In a classroom I try to balance teacher directed and child directed instruction and all learning styles. As a tutor, I will determine how the student best learns to personalize their learning.
