Experience Summary
I have tutored elementary children one on one for about 2 years now. I did my student teaching at Friendship Christian School in Raleigh. I enjoy teaching children to read and am proficient in teaching mathematics to younger children. I do well teaching one on one with no distractions. I am firm, but not mean. When it is time to tutor, nothing else is allowed but schoolwork.
Teaching Style
My thing is repetition. Writing everything out and practice, practice, practice. Memorize to learn, not memorize just to pass a test. I want the kids to KNOW their material.
My Hobbies
I enjoy children and teaching them. I enjoy the light on their faces when they "get it." I enjoy making it easy for them to learn.
Other Comments
I am a Christian. I take my religion seriously. I do not smoke or drink. I will not work Sundays or Wednesday Nights.
