Experience Summary
I taught emergency response classes for the American Red Cross before going back to college. I then taught English composition classes, and I tutored in the university writing center for two years. Presently, I teach Intensive English for International Students at the University of Northern Colorado, including grammar, reading, vocabulary, computer skills, writing, and speaking/listening classes.
Teaching Style
I believe education should be fun and that students learn better when they are in a relaxed environment. Humor, praise, patience, and encouragement are essential to good learning.
My Hobbies
Italian and Scottish cooking, reading, history, playing with my dog, and being with my family.
