Experience Summary
I have my BS in Paralegal Studies from Peirce College, with a minor in English. In 2010 I earned my Masters Degree from Drexel University in Library and Information Science. I completed several graduate level courses on youth instruction. In addition, I have mentored children and adults with ADD. At the age of 19 I was diagnosed with ADD and went through an intensive learning disability program consisting of various types of learning and processing. I would like to help children conquer the disability before they pick up bad study habits and poor self-esteem.
Teaching Style
I am patient, thoughtful and I believe in POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT. When I was younger I struggled with a learning disability. I overcame the disability to earn several degrees with honors. I am looking to help students who are willing to put in the time and effort to improve.
My Hobbies
Reading is my passion. My favorite book is the Great Gatsby. I love the classics like Catcher in the Rye and The Portrait of Dorian Grey. I am also a fan of authors like Ann Rice, Charlaine Harris and Sherilyn Kenyon. My second hobby is needlepoint. I am currently working on a series of Impressionist paintings.
