Experience Summary
I first begin my teaching career in Seoul South Korea where I was teaching children from the age of 5 - 13 in a private school. Being in a foreign country opened my eyes to the many different experiences and cultural differences that we all share which allows me to relate well to different cultural backgrounds.
I received my masters degree in TESOL from the University of Liverpool in 2009. This degree specifically focused on how to ensure learning materials were psychologically appropriate to different age groups to receive maximum benefit. Also, while I lived in England and while I was there I was able to privately tutor students from Iran, Afghanistan, and Kurdistan with their listening and speaking skills in English.
I have 1 years experience working in Adult Basic Education as an ESL instructor while living near Nashville, TN. I was fortunate to have had many different cultures, Korean, Mexican, Colombian, African, Vietnamese just among a few that were in my classroom and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with them and learning about their lives.
At the moment I am also in Adult Education here in Albuquerque. I am an English instructor with a focus on Reading and Writing skills.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very hands on. I like for my students to receive as much one to one time as necessary for their language evolvement. I am laid back and believe that laughter is one of the best tools to help instruct my students.
