Experience Summary
My qualifications include several years experience as an instructor in political science, American government, and English. I have also taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in Japan. I have developed curricula, lesson plans, conducted evaluations, and have experience in project management and community outreach.
I have completed a Master of Science in International Relations degree (summa cum laude) from Troy State University. In addition to teaching courses in American Government I have a wide knowledge of US and world history and the Humanities.
My teaching experience has exposed me to students from a variety of cultural backgrounds, learning styles and abilities.
Moreover, I am committed to interdisciplinary learning. A central theme of my teaching philosophy is the ability to work collaboratively with students and colleagues from various backgrounds and to bring in complimentary knowledge.
Teaching Style
I have taught in a traditional classroom setting, as well as one-on-one, and also online.
My Hobbies
I love to visit museums and to hike and camp out doors.
